My step bench just arrived!

Ordered a step bench from Aibi for $199 n it just arrived! Huge thing, can adjust into 3 positions. Now I can do my step exercises more effectively. No need to go gym- I've a mini gym at hm with my Swiss ball, pilates bands, dumb bells, exercise bench n now my step bench!!

At the stadium now. It's rainng but My coach n 2 other men are here. Die-hard exercise enthusiasts. Rain or shine, they train.. I just finished my 2.8 km run. Really good. My coach said I am improving each time he sees me run! That just motivates me so much!

Verdict: *burp. Burger was so-so. The pulled pork one I ate in another visit was better. What steals the show is the Caesar salad side. With crunchy croutons and real bacon bits, it's a delight! Sauce is served separately. I'd go for that as a main course next time!

My new Kyocera ceramic knife

Bought this from Tokyu Hands in Japan at a discount. Tried it this morning and it really works- my apple tastes great, no metallic taste and did not brown even after 30 min left in the open! I'm going to use it for my raw fruits and vegetables from now on. Heard there's no tears when cutting onions with it too! Well gotta try that one out soon!

God SO loves me that..

Today, I spend Christmas reflecting on God's love for ME. Yes, me. To those who know I'm a Christian, I'm a poor and disgraceful example of one by their standards. But by God's standards, I'm not because He judges me not by what I do but by what Jesus did. Well I don't care what others think of me. It's what God thinks of me that is important. And the more I feel His love, the more I feel the strength to live right. I realized that my efforts in finding love turned out to be futile and filled with despair. Like the prodigal son, I realized there's so much more blessings I'm missing out as His child. Why am I taking crumbs of 'love' from other's hands when my Father owns the cattle upon the thousand hills and is able to not only to give me what I ask or think but over and above all that I ask or think. No more searching on chatting/dating websites or looking out for suitors. How I hated those miserable, cheap, demeaning encounters! I often felt like killing myslef after each one. Now I have decided to put my search for love in His hands. He knows how to provide my needs for love, intimacy and security best. Even my physical and sexual needs, without me having to sin and experience heartache. I will stop looking for my own solutions and trust Him in 2012 instead.

Just had a wonderful swim at Bishan. I feel good now, even tho it was an initial struggle to swim in the freezing cold water. I almost gave up after 4 laps. But seeing an old man swimming with such difficulty n yet not giving up, I was so motivated that I persevered and finished my 20 laps.

Yesterday I did a light run after a one week's break. It was good to see the whole gang there running already. They greeted me warmly and encouraged me on my running and technique. Truly God has answered my prayers for sports buddies! One of them even texted me to ask if i was joining then yesterday. After the run, we had a good time gossiping n joking while doing our stretches n core exercises on the mats. I really feel so at home with them. We even arranged our next workout on Friday. It's really gd to find ppl of the same mindset n philosophy. In fact these guys train even harder than me! I thot I was a fitness freak but they are worse and proud of it! I'm truly so motivated and encouraged by them. I was told that my running form is good, woohoo!!

His name is Sirotan. I call him Siro. He is a baby harp seal. He's sooo cute that I just had to buy him back. Look at that mischievous face!! Whenever I feel down I just have to kiss him n I feel alrite again :)

Be thankful even for the little you get

Today I woke up and was faced with a mountain of housework . After fetching mich to uni for her exam, I got started on the chores. And somehow I began to find that the chores helped me pass a morn fruitfully. It was gd to see the house cleaner. In fact I'm thankful to have a house to clean! I'm blessed to be healthy and strong enuf to clean the house. No comparing with tai tais who don't need to do housework. They hv their problems I'm sure. It's how you are thankful for even the little you have that God will bless and increase it!.
