It's now 8 am at the market. Enjoying my prata kosong and teh Tarik at the 24 hour prata shop before I get my fresh fish n prawns. This coffee shop holds special memories - chit chats with friends and family over prata, thosai, briyani n teh Tarik. I love their prata, stretchy n fluffy as compared to the hard crispy version. This one has less oil n tastes better in my opinion. For this year at least, this is going to be my regular Sat morn activity- breakfast n marketing. Will be nice if I had a friend to meet n yak. Just like this father n son sitting just in front. (Father has gone to settle the bill.)

Reading the recent news of the 44 men nabbed in the online prostitution ring, I couldn't help but wonder - was a beautiful nubile body really worth $500 an hour? To get that far to earn that much is not easy. For some families, $500 is the difference between hunger and nutrition, education and ignorance. To earn so much that you can afford to spend it on one hour of thrilling sex with a strange girl tells so much about what is really going on in their minds and hearts. No, I don't judge them cos I know these men see it as buying a commodity with money they have worked hard for and they are just men after all. But there is no love involved here, just lust. I really hope they have their source of love, especially now when they are exposed and shamed. I hope they have friends and loved ones who will forgive them and see them through this rough patch.
